(React.js / Node.js)

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, remote Senior Software Developer with 5+ years of React.js and Node.js experience to join the development team of our U.S. client. You will work directly with the founder to build leading-edge AI software. Successful candidates will understand how to operate in a startup environment, develop architecturally scalable software, and build high-volume, quality code.

Our venture-backed client is building AI-based software that gives expert content creators the ability to enhance and monetize their intellectual property while protecting it from public domain use. The company is led by serial entrepreneurs who are experienced in successfully commercializing software products at scale as well as working with remote teams. As the first member of the development team, you will have strong influence on the technical direction and standards for the software platform.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to define product roadmap and development deliverables
  • Provide technical and architectural leadership
  • Deliver high quality, well-documented front- and back-end code with velocity
  • Establish development standards and best practices
  • Build and maintain unit and functional tests
  • Perform code reviews
  • Ensure quality, value, and speed in every deliverable

Experience

Required

  • Excellent English communication and teamwork skills
  • 5+ years of software development experience with a strong background in React.js and Node.js
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred), Jira, and AWS (or similar cloud platforms)
  • Focus on positively impacting quality, value, and speed
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proven self-starter with a self-motivated attitude and willingness to act
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a broader team
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired

  • University degree in software engineering (or similar field of study) or code school graduate
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with AI-based software products
