(Manual) - Project

Job Description

We are seeking a remote, full-time Senior QA Engineer with 5+ years of manual quality assurance experience. The right candidate will operate in a fast-paced environment working closely with our client’s development team to test the company’s industry-leading software products.

The duration of this project is approximately 8 weeks.

Our client provides a cloud-based ERP platform to hundreds of energy industry customers delivering market-leading field service management, field data gathering, transportation, production, accounting, and land software solutions. Backed by private equity, our client accelerates business performance, improves operational efficiency, and reduces costs.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for success of testing cycle and quality of products delivered to end customers
  • Raise defects and log root cause analyses (RCAs), triage bugs, classify bugs into categories, assign severity, and provide build sign offs
  • Provide expertise in understanding business use cases and requirements converting them to scenarios and test cases
  • Identify test requirements based on business and functional specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plan including integration and system test scripts
  • Validate data with SQL queries
  • Take ownership of and develop data tie-out testing plans
  • Drive to automate tests utilizing automation skills

Experience

Required

  • Excellent English verbal and written skills
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis and functional quality assurance testing
  • Technical background and extensive exposure to Agile development methodologies
  • Direct experience on testing data tie-outs
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a global professional team that may be distributed across geographies and time zones
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality written documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Good knowledge of Jira / Test Management (Zephyr)
  • Proven experience working effectively in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Any experience with automation testing in Selenium
  • Any experience with web service / API testing
