Senior Mobile Developer
(Flutter)

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, remote Senior Mobile Developer with 5+ years of mobile application development experience to join our U.S. client’s engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Flutter as well as a background in Angular, TypeScript, and preferably NativeScript.

Our client is a leading provider of commercial refrigeration solutions including its flagship AI software product, which monitors deployed systems, detects issues early, and avoids costly, unexpected repairs. The company innovates in their industry with other critical software including field management, customer relationship management, accounting, and additional operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, optimize, and enhance the existing Angular / NativeScript / TypeScript mobile application
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to build new features and optimize the user experience
  • Define and implement architectural decisions for the new mobile application, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
  • Make trade-offs between short term gain vs long term architecture changes
  • Optimize app performance, including debugging and resolving issues in both the existing and new applications
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain high coding standards
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met within the mobile application

Experience

Required

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Flutter for mobile application development
  • Proficiency in Angular, NativeScript, or TypeScript, with experience maintaining and improving existing applications
  • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, state management, and performance optimization
  • Solid understanding of mobile UI / UX best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure) for mobile applications
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with a distributed team
  • Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, fast-moving environment
  • A collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a relentless pursuit to attain goals and solve problems
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired

  • University degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Experience working with automated testing frameworks for mobile applications
