Job Description

We are seeking a full-time remote Senior Consultant with 3+ years of financial software implementation, consulting, or similar experience within the upstream oil & gas industry. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) within the Client Services team of our U.S. client guiding their customers through software implementation projects. In this role, you will understand customer business needs, design and configure software solutions, conduct training sessions, and ensure successful software deployment and adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead collaboration with customers to understand their business objectives, requirements, and pain points related to software implementation
  • Conduct thorough assessments of customers' existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and act as a point of contact throughout the implementation process
  • Partner with Product team as an SME and contribute to requirements and inputs
  • Lead collaboration with internal teams, such as software developers and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into customers' existing infrastructure
  • Develop and execute implementation plans according to project scope, timeline, milestones, and resource requirements
  • Lead software configuration, customization, and data migration activities to ensure accurate and timely implementation
  • Lead training sessions and workshops for customers' end users to ensure successful adoption and utilization of the software
  • Initiate ongoing support and guidance to customers during the implementation process, addressing any issues, questions, or concerns that may arise
  • Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and documentation to support customers' understanding and effective use of the software
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the successful completion of the implementation projects
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards
  • Provide guidance to teammates

Experience

Required

  • Excellent English verbal and written skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of financial accounting experience within the upstream oil & gas industry
  • 3+ years of experience in software implementation, consulting, or related roles, preferably within the software or energy industry
  • 3+ years of experience in configuring and customizing software solutions to meet requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and convey complex concepts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, remote, and dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • A drive to continue learning, specifically about the energy business and the client's solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strategically collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementations stay on track
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with SQL
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent
