Job Description

We are looking for a remote, full-time Senior Back-End Engineer with 5+ years of back-end software experience including API and domain model design as well as Javascript and Node.js development to join our U.S. client’s Platform Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and deliver high-quality, performant back-end services that power a world-class compliance and trust automation platform. The Platform Engineering team focuses on core components, such as authentication, RBAC, data architecture, and back-end infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability across the product suite.

Responsibilities

  • Build services and APIs in JavaScript and Node.js
  • Create data models using RDBMS principles and implement them in PostgreSQL
  • Troubleshoot interfaces and debug applications
  • Monitor and improve end-to-end performance

Experience

Required

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • 5+ years of back-end software development experience designing APIs and domain models with knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
  • Experience designing RDBMSs to support real-world application usage
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with debugging and performance testing
  • A focus on delivering value and being action-oriented
  • Great listening skills and a willingness to understand what your customers and team members need to be successful
  • A collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a relentlessness in pursuing goals and solving problems
  • A willingness to learn from others and admit when you've made a mistake
