Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, remote Quality Assurance Engineer with 3+ years of manual testing experience to join the software engineering team for our U.S. client. Primary duties include testing all new feature enhancements, maintaining test cases and overall regression testing of the application. This key individual should have experience making decisions and working both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team where everything you do makes a difference.

The industry-leading client provides business-automating enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to the oil & gas industry. The client’s software and services streamline and automate complex processes, such as revenue distribution, billing, order management, production accounting, accounts payable, contract management, and more for over 1,700 customers across 9 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements in the software
  • Configure test environment to execute required test cases
  • Conduct review meetings to share test case status, discuss concerns and risk items, drive comprehensive test coverage, and assure general team alignment
  • Define, execute, and analyze test plans and cases
  • Collaborate with the team to validate acceptance criteria achievement
  • Track defect and bug resolution progress and results using client defect tracking system
  • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing with stakeholders
  • Work well under pressure with deadlines
  • Display flexibility and proficiency at setting priorities

Experience

Required

  • Excellent English communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, including functional, bug verification, regression, user acceptance, and user experience testing
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • A positive attitude always looking to empower the success of others
  • Willingness to take ownership and find ways to unblock oneself
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired

  • University degree or relevant industry experience (optimally a technical or engineering degree)
  • Familiarity with the oil & gas industry
