QA Automation Engineer
(JavaScript / Cypress)

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, remote QA Automation Engineer with 3 to 5 years of work experience using JavaScript and Cypress to join the software engineering team of our U.S. client. The right candidate must have a passion for building seriously cool technology, delivering on-time, utilizing industry best practices, and working in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will develop and execute automated test scripts, conducting test analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience with Agile methodologies

With the only data engineering architecture that extends the Databricks platform, our client solves integration hurdles for organizations quickly without compromising customization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform requirements analysis and identify effective scenarios for testing
  • Identify scenarios and test cases to automate for regression testing
  • Write functional test cases in a test management tool
  • Leverage modern QA tools and technologies to expand and enhance the client's user experiences
  • Identify, document, and communicate issues to developers that arise during the testing
  • Develop testing solutions by adhering to a Software Testing Life Cycle requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, test environment setup, and test execution
  • Interact with members of the client's product and leadership teams to understand their vision, gather requirements, and provide feedback to the prioritization process
  • Work in a collaborative team setting to ideate and design technical solutions to complex industry issues through analysis of current product functionality, desired end state, and available technologies

Experience

Required

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer
  • Experience with test processes, Cypress test framework, test design strategies, writing test cases and automating tests in JavaScript
  • Strong experience in UI automation
  • Must be detail-oriented, critical, analytical, and a creative thinker with a passion for quality and test automation
  • Experience with databases, such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Snowflake
  • Experience with tools and applications, such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Git, and TestRail
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and organizational skills
  • Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired

  • AWS, Azure, and Databricks experience and ability to test APIs
