DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, remote DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of DevOps experience. You will join our client’s engineering team where you will be responsible for working with software engineers to build and maintain the company’s cloud infrastructure, tooling, and software deployment pipelines as well as ensure SaaS platform uptime and availability. You will be part of a highly collaborative, tight-knit team that prioritizes accessibility, inclusion, and independent thought.

Successful candidates should have knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including some experience with AWS and implementing infrastructure as code, an understanding of networking topologies and configuration, solid troubleshooting skills, and an eagerness to learn. The client’s environment is a fast-paced one where proactive communication and working with teammates to deliver high-quality work is the norm.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS for deploying the client's platform
Participate in technology evaluation of new tools and cloud solutions to enhance software products
Develop, enhance, maintain, and automate software deployment pipelines and developer productivity tooling
Implement logging and monitoring solutions as well as work with the engineering team to ensure platform uptime and availability
Foster a DevOps culture with the entire engineering team

Experience

Required

Excellent English communication skills
3+ years of DevOps experience with one or more of the major cloud infrastructure providers (AWS preferred)
Familiarity with containerization and utilization of container runtimes, such as AWS ECS, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
A well-developed understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking concepts
Experience working on infrastructure as code, utilizing tools such as Terraform
Experience building CI/CD deployment pipelines with Jenkins or similar products
Familiarity with one or more logging and monitoring solutions
Strong troubleshooting skills
Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment
A collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a relentless pursuit to attain goals and solve problems
