Data Integration Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, remote Data Integration (DI) Specialist to ensure our clients data integration needs are met in a streamlined and reliable manner. Our client provides business automation software that easily syncs, cleans, and curates customer data within existing revenue tech stacks. Our client is very customer-centric and is passionate about their success.

The DI Specialist’s role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to setting up and operating the integration of data across source and target systems for our clients customers. In this role, you will spend 60% of your time planning and executing customer data integration projects; 20% working with the Engineering / Product team to validate new features by executing tests in a sandbox environment; and 20% troubleshooting data issues.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients customers to discover user requirements
  • Develop a planning spreadsheet that specifies how source and target objects will be mapped
  • Gather REST API connection details to source and target systems
  • Configure (within the client's product user interface) connections to source and target systems
  • Configure (via drag and drop) mappings of fields in source and target systems (e.g., firstName in Salesforce syncs to first_name in Marketo)
  • Apply necessary data transformations (reformatting dates, combining values, and more)
  • Ensure data merge rules are configured to avoid duplicate records
  • Test and validate configurations
  • Monitor ongoing data integration processes
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported problems in the data integrations

Experience

Required

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proven team player knows how a great team functions and scales
  • Familiarity working with spreadsheets
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Highly dependable, self-starter, high energy, positive attitude with good organization and time management skills
  • Proven self-starter with a self-motivated attitude and willingness to act
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-paced environment
  • Proficiency at learning new, web-based, software solutions
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent

Desired

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline
  • Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms (MAP), Customer Relationship (CRM) or other digital marketing solutions
  • An understanding of business process, automation, and workflows
  • A working knowledge of data modeling and database architecture
  • Experience integrating solutions using REST APIs
  • Proficiency with Postman or similar API clients
